Venue Terms of Service
Version v1-2026-09-20 · Last updated 20 September 2026
Draft — pending legal review. This wording is a plain-English placeholder and is not legal advice.
These terms cover venues and businesses using flakr to run venumeets, check people in and see reliability information.
1. What flakr does
flakr lets a venue publish a venumeet, share a link, take seat claims by phone number, check people in at the door, and see how reliably attendees turn up.
flakr is a record-keeping tool. It does not sell tickets, take payment from your customers, or supervise your event.
2. Your account
Accounts are for venue operators only. You are responsible for everything done under your account and for keeping your sign-in details secure.
You must be authorised to act for the business you register.
3. Fees
flakr charges per person per venue, and only on a real check-in. A person's first-ever attendance anywhere on flakr is free; every attendance after that is 99c plus GST.
flakr is currently in beta. Amounts are recorded in full but charged at $0 while the beta flag is on. You will be told before real charging begins.
Invoices are issued fortnightly and cover the charges recorded in that period.
4. How you may use attendee information
You may use attendee names and phone numbers to run the venumeet they claimed a seat at — confirming, reminding, checking in and following up on that booking.
You must not export, sell, or add attendee details to a marketing list outside flakr, and you must not use reliability scores to discriminate on any protected ground.
Reliability information is shown against an anonymous flakr key, never alongside a name. You must not attempt to re-link the two.
5. Promotional messages
flakr sends promotional messages on your behalf, subject to limits set inside the product, and only to people who have not opted out.
You are responsible for the content of any message you ask flakr to send and for complying with Australian spam and telemarketing law.
6. Availability and liability
flakr is provided on an as-is basis. We aim for continuous availability but do not guarantee it.
Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to resupplying the service or refunding fees paid for the affected period.
7. Ending your account
You may stop using flakr at any time. Charges already recorded remain payable.
We may suspend an account that misuses attendee information or breaches these terms.
8. Changes
If these terms change materially, the version label changes and you will be asked to accept the new version the next time you sign in.
