Version v1-2026-09-20 · Last updated 20 September 2026
Draft — pending legal review. This wording is a plain-English placeholder and is not legal advice.
This explains what flakr holds about you, why, and who can see it. It applies to venue operators and to anyone who claims a seat through a flakr link.
1. What we collect
If you claim a seat: your mobile number, first name, date of birth and gender, the venumeets you claim, whether you turned up, cancelled or did not show, and a reliability score derived from that history.
If you operate a venue: your email address, your venue's name and category, and your billing records.
We do not collect payment card details from attendees. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
2. Why we collect it
Your phone number identifies your booking and receives your confirmation and reminders. Your first name lets the venue find you at the door.
Your date of birth is used to show the venue an age, never the date itself. Gender is shown as part of the same anonymous summary.
Your reliability score exists so venues can judge no-show risk. It is global to you as a person, not to any one venue.
3. Who can see what
At check-in, the venue sees your first name and phone number for that venumeet only.
In reliability and recap views, the venue sees an anonymous flakr key, your age, gender and score — never your name alongside your score.
Your exact date of birth is never shown to a venue.
4. Messages
We send booking confirmations and reminders by text. Promotional messages are limited and you can opt out at any time; opting out never affects your bookings.
5. Sharing and storage
We use service providers for hosting, database, messaging and payments, and share only what those services need. We do not sell your information.
Data is stored on servers operated by our hosting provider and may be processed outside Australia by those providers.
6. Keeping and deleting
We keep attendance and reliability records while your profile is active, and billing records for as long as tax law requires.
You can ask us to delete your profile by emailing hello@flakr.co. Deleting removes your identity; anonymous aggregate counts may remain.
7. Access and correction
You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, at hello@flakr.co.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
8. Changes
If this policy changes materially, the version label changes and you will be asked to accept the new version the next time you book or sign in.
