Guest Terms
Version v3-2026-10-09 · Last updated 9 October 2026
Draft — pending legal review. This wording is a plain-English placeholder and is not legal advice.
These terms apply when you book a seat at a venumeet through flakr. flakr Pty Ltd, ABN 76 697 706 675.
1. What flakr does
flakr provides booking, reminder texts and check-in for venues. It also keeps a record of whether booked seats were used.
2. The venue's role
The venue runs the event and is responsible for it. That includes refunds, payments, safety, entry and the venue's own conditions. flakr isn't the event organiser and isn't a party to any arrangement between you and the venue.
3. Who can use flakr
You must be 18 or over to use flakr. You may have one flakr account only, and it must be yours.
4. Booking
You book with your own mobile number, which you confirm with a code sent by text.
The first time, you give your first name, date of birth and gender. You aren't asked again.
After you confirm your number on a device, it may be remembered on that device for up to 90 days so you don't need a new code each time. "Sign out of all devices" on flakr.co/me ends this.
Texts about your bookings (confirmations, reminders, check-in and changes) are part of the service and can't be switched off separately.
5. Your flakr score
You have one score from 0 to 100, which is the same at every venue. Everyone starts at 100. Turning up nudges it up, and a no-show pulls it down. Each visit moves your score only part of the way, so one night doesn't define you. Full details and worked examples are at flakr.co/score.
6. What your score is used for
After an event, venues see only group totals. They never see your individual score next to your name. Today your score doesn't stop or limit you from booking. If that ever changes, we'll update these terms first.
7. Cancellations and late cancellations
Cancelling before the venue's cancellation window is free and doesn't affect your score.
Cancelling within 15 minutes of booking is always free.
Cancelling inside the window is a "late cancel". Your first 2 late cancels in any rolling 30 days are free. After that, a late cancel lowers your score by half what a no-show would, up to a maximum of 4 points.
A cancellation always counts against you less than a no-show.
Once your booking's start time has passed, you can't cancel it. If you don't turn up, it counts as a no-show.
8. No-shows
Check-in opens 30 minutes before your start time and closes 2 hours after it. If you haven't checked in by then, the booking counts as a no-show.
9. Corrections and disputes
A venue can correct a missed check-in for up to 24 hours after check-in closes.
A venue can't change a QR-code check-in to a no-show.
If a venue asks to change a check-in by name to a no-show, flakr reviews the request first.
You'll get a text whenever the outcome of one of your bookings changes.
If the venue cancels an event, it never affects your score.
You can dispute an outcome from flakr.co/me.
When an outcome changes, your score is recalculated from your whole history.
10. Acceptable use
One account per person.
Use your own mobile number and keep it up to date. To change your number, use the change-number process.
You're responsible for who can use your phone and your booking links. Anyone with a booking link can view and manage that booking.
Book for yourself only. Don't book using other people's details, and don't claim seats you don't intend to use.
Don't misuse bookings, corrections or disputes, and don't try to access bookings that aren't yours.
11. Promotion texts
Venues can send promotion texts only to guests who have checked in at that venue before. Each venue can send at most one promotion a week. To stop promotions, use the opt-out link in any promotion, or turn off the offers switch on flakr.co/me. Opting out never affects your booking texts.
If you book through the link in a promotion text, flakr records on your booking which promotion it came from. Venues only ever see totals for a promotion, never who booked through it.
If our usual sender name is unavailable, booking texts may come from our backup number. If you reply STOP to a text from that number, you may stop receiving booking texts from it.
12. Suspension and closing your account
We may suspend or close access if you break these terms or misuse flakr. To close your account, email support@flakr.co. Some records may be kept after closing (see section 14).
13. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes any right you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
14. Your information and privacy
Our Privacy Policy (flakr.co/privacy) explains what we collect, why, and who can see it, and forms part of these terms.
To check you in, venues see your first name and the last 3 digits of your mobile number. They never see your score next to your name, or your full number or date of birth.
Your information is stored and processed outside Australia by our service providers. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
Email support@flakr.co to request a copy, correction or deletion of your data. We may have to keep some records, such as billing and tax records and the score history needed for disputes.
15. Contacting flakr
Email support@flakr.co for help with a booking or check-in. Email hello@flakr.co for anything else. We reply as soon as we can.
16. Changes
If these terms change in an important way, you'll be asked to accept the new version the next time you book, including on a remembered device.
17. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
